Description
This is kind of where it all started. I always loved to paint but never really had the time due to my busy career. I early 2020 I was lucky to get out of India on the last plane before the pandemic shut down air travel. Shortly after I arrived home the roof on my house was scheduled to be replaced. I was temporarily orphaned. The roofing crew would show up early and start pounding away all day long, which was a major distraction. Instead of enduring the chaos, I would head up to the Church and spend all day painting in quiet isolation. It was glorious!
The painting was originally a mountain scene that my mom bought at a tag sale and it hung for years in her big breezeway. I believe it originally hung in a social hall. Anyways, I commandeered it and set up two easels to hold it since it’s so darn big. And then I did what I always wanted to do, which was to paint some prehistoric beast over the existing work.
I wanted this painting to stand on it’s own with no gimmicks. A statement, so to speak. A giant mammoth on its own, in the mountains. This painting hung in my OddioShop Studio for years.
This is a large, bold, iconic canvas. It would be ideal for a lobby area or large wall space. It’s another one my painted pieces that demands attention, but it’s not jarring in any way like some modern art it. It’s a classic painting, with a beautiful theme with a vintage feel.
