These are pretty much impossible to find, but for some reason, the Paquette museum has two… and that translates to the rare microphone being available. The mic is a Marconi-Reisz “coal” microphone that uses granulated carbon. A young Georg Neumann developed this technology in Reisz’ lab. So you might even consider this to be the earliest Neumann mic. The body of this mic is made of white marble. Marked as “LA-1” on the face. Enjoy!
